Join us for our 5-Week Online Voice-Over Intensive with Top VO Engineer and NYC Voice-Over Coach - Jonathan Appell! This will be a live, interactive class with a Q&A and the opportunity to perform for and get feedback from Jonathan. You will be able to download the recordings of your performances for educational purposes only. You will also be able to send us your headshot, resume, demo reel and anything else you would want Jonathan to see. This class will be held online via Zoom.

For over 3 decades, producer and audio engineer Jonathan Appell has enjoyed an unusually diverse career. His work can be heard on recordings by legendary artists like Carole King, Bette Midler, Billy Porter and Grover Washington, Jr.; TV shows like "Ed" and "The Dana Carvey Show"; movies like "First Wives Club" and "Coyote Ugly"; anime cartoons like "The Gokusen" and "Shura No Toki"; and literally hundreds of television and radio commercials

In recent years, Jonathan has adapted his experience directing VO talent to the “other side of the glass” as a voice over artist himself. Most notably, you will recognize his voice from the US Open Tennis Championship’s radio campaigns for the last several years.

While he maintains an active free-lance career, Jonathan has also been teaching since 2005. Beyond his impressive resume, his credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Audio Technology from SUNY Empire State College. He’s also an AVID Certified Pro Tools Instructor, voting member of National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS) and an active member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES).

Please prepare a brief commercial copy to perform live in class. Upon registration, we will send you a link to our commercial database that you are welcome to browse.
