This class is for actors 18 years old and up and will be held online via Zoom. This will be a live, interactive class lesson to include these learning opportunities and more:

• Break down the character and script
• Audition Technique
• Online opportunities
• Mindset
• On-camera technique
• Reconnect with the artist within you
• Self-tape instruction

Each week you will perform and Marci will dissect your audition scene and take each of you through the audition process — from initial pre-read through callback to final callback/test on camera. 

You will be able to download the recordings of your performances for educational purposes only. You will also be able to send us your headshot, resume, acting reel, and anything else you want Marci to see. Please new students only!

Marci Liroff’s extensive credits as a casting director span more than 60 films and television. While working at the renowned casting office of Fenton-Feinberg Casting along with Mike Fenton, she cast such films as Bob Clark’s A Christmas Story and Porky’s; the Academy Award-nominated Poltergeist; Steven Spielberg’s E.T.– The Extra Terrestrial and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner.

After establishing her own casting company in 1983, MARCI LIROFF CASTING, Liroff cast several successful films including Footloose, St. Elmo’s Fire, Pretty in Pink, The Iron Giant, The Spitfire Grill, Untamed Heart, Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, Vampire Academy , The Sublime and Beautiful.

In addition to casting film and television, Liroff is an acting coach working with actors in person and worldwide through Skype, FaceTime and Zoom.

Please prepare one short scene (2 pages or less) from TV or Film. Choose material that you would realistically be cast as but at the same time will challenge you and be worth working on in a classroom setting.
