Join us for this exciting New ONLINE Self-Tape Masterclass for Beginner Actors with the Casting Partner of McCorkle Casting, Jeffrey Dreisbach! This class is for actors 16 years old and up. You will be working on the Do's and Don'ts of self-tape auditioning. Self-tapes and remote casting have become the new normal and Jeffrey Dreisbach is ready to answer any and all questions you may have about making a great, standout tape that will help you BOOK! This will be a live interactive class with a Q&A and the opportunity to perform for and get feedback from Jeffrey. You will be able to download the recordings of your performances for educational purposes only. You will also be able to send us your headshot, resume, acting reel and anything else you would want Jeffrey to see. This class will be held online via Zoom.
McCorkle Casting, Ltd. has handled hundreds of projects. in film, television and theater. A few highlights of McCorkle's track record include an Emmy nomination for "Californication", Linda Hunt's Oscar-winning role in The Year of Living Dangerously; the pool of undiscovered young actors - Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Brendan Fraser, and Chris O'Donnell - selected for Stanley Jaffe's School Ties; and a long list of people who were "tagged" by McCorkle early in their careers, including Holly Hunter, Samuel L. Jackson, Skeet Ulrich, and Calista Flockhart.
Jeffrey received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Wayne State University with additional performance study from Roger Williams College (London) and California Institute of the Arts (Disney University). Upon graduation, Jeffrey worked as an actor in New York for over 20 years accruing theatre, film and television credits. On Broadway, he performed over 500 performances as Lt. Kenrick in Aaron Sorkin’s, A Few Good Men (Original Cast). Jeffrey soon transitioned into performing arts administration and became Executive Director of the nation’s oldest and largest broadcast training Schools, served as faculty in a performing arts High School, Interim Director of an actors training institute and guest faculty at several universities. He began his role as Casting Partner with McCorkle Casting in 2010. His is the author of, “Conversation Pieces out of the Studio (Voice-over workbook) and his podcast, “Casting Actors Cast” is heard weekly worldwide with thousands of downloads. Jeffrey enjoys teaching actors at colleges, universities and conservatories throughout New York and the country.
In this acting class, you will have the opportunity to ask Jeffrey your questions about the casting process, auditions, and the industry in general. You will also get to workshop a scene, monologue, or self-tape while Jeffrey coaches you and provides feedback that will help refine your self submit audition technique and your overall on-camera performance.
Jeffrey provides a unique point of view since he has been an actor, a teacher and a casting professional. He has great insight to share and always offers feedback that really speaks to actors as they continue to grow in their craft!

Please record a self-tape of a monologue or scene (monologue preferred) and send it to email@example.com prior to class. You may use a self-tape that you already have from a recent audition. If you do not have any self-tapes or if you are a beginner and unsure of where to start, please feel free to perform a monologue or scene live in class and Jeffrey will break down the first steps of creating a professional self-tape!
This online masterclass will meet online via zoom on Friday, November 20th from 6:00PM-9:00PM EST / 3:00PM-6:00PM PST.
