2-Day TV/Film Intensive for ALL AGES with Casting Director, Catherine Stroud of London/Stroud Casting!

Back By Popular Demand! Join us for an Online 2-Day TV/Film Intensive with Catherine Stroud of London/Stroud Casting for All Ages! You will be working on scene study, cold-reading and audition techniques. This class will be held online via Zoom. This will be a live, interactive class with a Q&A and the opportunity to perform for and get feedback from Catherine. You will be able to download the recordings of your performances for educational purposes only. You will also be able to send us your headshot, resume, acting reel and anything else you would want Catherine to see. 

Lisa London and Catherine Stroud have a casting career together that expands over twenty-five years. They have discovered and/or cast many notable actors and actresses early in their careers who have all gone on to become stars; such as Miley Cyrus in Hannah Montana, Jonah Hill in Grandma’s Boy, Emma Stone, Katharine McPhee, and Kat Dennings in House Bunny, Selena Gomez in the Disney pilot of What’s Stevie Thinking, Jennifer Aniston in her first feature, Leprechaun, Mark Ruffalo in the CBS series, Due South, Adrian R. Mante and Megan Hilty, in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Yari Shahidi in The First Family. 

Catherine and Lisa have cast a large number of successful television shows such as Hit The Floor for VH1, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana pilot on the Disney Channel, Arliss on HBO, Roseanne on ABC, Supah Ninjas on Nickelodeon and Get A Life on Fox. They also recently cast a pilot for TBS, Three Loco and The Story of Our Times (The Trevor Moore Project) for Comedy Central. They recently completed a new series for Go90 and Entertainment One, Millennial Mafia which begins airing summer 2018. Some of the movies they have cast are House Bunny, Grandma’s Boy and Sandy Wexler for Happy Madison Productions, Stepfather for Screen Gems.

Prep Instructions:

Class 1: Self Tapes: Please prepare a 2-minute scene from TV or film for each class. Scenes are strongly preferred, please do not perform a monologue unless specifically requested. Upon registration we will provide access to our scene database if you need assistance finding a scene. Please self-tape yourself performing the scene and send the tape to info@actingandvoicestudios.com prior to the first class. Catherine will go over your tapes in class and give notes on how to do a good self tape.

Class 2: Comedy: Actors will choose a comedic scene that is different from the scene they previously performed, either from our scene database or of their choice from TV or film. Catherine will teach how to be effective at making comedy material funny and get them call-backs.
