Acting Classes

*WE DON'T OFFER REFUNDS OF ANY KIND UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES*

Cancellation Policy

We require a 24-Hour Notice in writing to cancel a class, intensive or showcase in order to receive full credit that you can use toward another class at Acting & Voice Studios. Please note that if you're cancelling a weekend class all cancellations must happen before Friday morning. You won't receive a credit if you cancel your class after the intensive starts. For our reel bookings we require a minimum of 7-Day Notice in writing to get a full credit. If the reel is attached to a class we require a 7-Day Notice prior to the start of the class and not the shoot date.

If you purchased your class on CourseHorse, our cancellation policy applies to your purchase. If you need help canceling your class from Course Horse or have any questions, please visit CourseHorse (link: https://coursehorse.com/contact-us).

Refund/Credit Policy

If the industry professional cancels the class you will receive a full credit of the class that you can use toward any other class at our studio. To use your credit please email us at: info@actingandvoicestudios.com and tell us which class you’d like to sign up for and we will manually apply the credit for you. If there’s any balance due you will receive an invoice that you will have to pay in order to register for the class.

PLEASE NOTE WE DON’T OFFER REFUNDS OF ANY KIND.

Industry Professionals

Since our guests are preeminent industry professionals, there are occasional postponements, substitutions, and/or cancellations.  We do not take responsibility for such schedule changes since they are out of our control. In the event of such schedule changes, we do our best to reschedule or replace a guest with an equal-level guest from the same or similar office, but cannot guarantee any such replacement. Industry Professionals reserve the right to change the time of their class, scene prep or anything else in regards to the class. If that happens we will notify you via email as soon as we find out about the change. Sometimes the class might end early if the capacity of students didn’t reach the full amount in that case you won’t be receiving credit or refund of any kind if that happens.

Make Up Classes

We don’t allow any make-up classes in any of our classes besides On-Camera Acting Intensive with James A. O’Connor. To make up your class with James A. O’Connor please email the office to schedule your make up class date. Please note that none of the other classes offer make-up classes or credits of any kind once the class has started.

Payments

To officially sign up for a class you can visit our website or we can register you over the phone. We require a full payment prior to the class in order to register for any of our classes. We accept all major debit/credit cards and PayPal. Once you have placed your registration order, the responsibility to know which seminars you are registered for is yours.

Lateness policy

Please note that we have a very strict lateness policy and we ask everyone to be on time for class. Being on time is in your best interest especially when you are working with industry professionals. If you're running late or can't make it to the class please notify us ahead of time. We understand that sometimes different events can delay your arrival, however please understand that we must stick to our class schedule in order to be fair to all of our students and teachers.

Class Policy

Please bring your headshot and resume to each class with casting director, agent or manager. If you’re attending a showcase please bring enough headshots and resumes for each class. It’s also your responsibility to bring two copies of your printed scene, one for yourself and one for the reader. Please note that it’s fully your responsibility to come prepared for the class with all your materials ready. Please be mindful of other students and don’t distract the class with loud talking or anything else that can be distracting.

Scene Policy

As soon as you register you will receive a link to our scene database where you can pick out a scene for yourself to perform in our classes. If the industry professional decides to assign a scene for the students please send us your headshot & resume as soon as possible and note that you will be receiving your scene 1-2 days before the class.

Footage Policy
For many of our on-camera classes, we record your on-camera work and then, as a courtesy, send it to you via an online platform within a 2-Week period following the class for you to download. This download is only available for 7 days. These videos are for educational purposes only and are NOT to be posted on YouTube, Facebook, or any other public viewing site. Due to the occasional technical error, we cannot guarantee the availability of all video clips. Therefore, we offer the ability to view and download online strictly as a courtesy.
