Judy Bouley is back at AVS! Join us for our 3-Week Online Scene Study Intensive with Judith Bouley, CSA Casting Director & Producer!

This class is for actors 16+. This will be a live interactive class where you will have a Q&A and you will be able to perform and get feedback from Judy. You will be able to download the recordings of your performances for educational purposes only. You will also be able to send us your headshot, resume, acting reel and anything else you would want Judith to see.

Judy recently worked on Netflix "DON'T LOOK UP" starring: Meryl Streep, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, & Jonah Hill!

In 3 weeks, actors will learn to:  

.  Recognize Their Own Magnificence (enhance or create their daily life practice)

.  Create Backstories (essential for any audition or role)

.  Learn how our business works today.  It's changed!

.  Experience Scene Study - Have fun and go beyond their comfort zone - if you're not challenging yourself, you're missing out!

INTENSIVE BREAKDOWN: 

CLASS 1: 

.  How to 'Recognize Their Own Magnificence':  all the ways actors can support themselves: i.e. meditation, journaling + plenty more)

.  Backstory - Judith teaches the 5 Ws and gives students a 10-minute exercise to do immediately in class.  It's a blast!

.  Students prep for Scene Study - Judith gives Sides and Story Synopsis - OR monologues - OR actors select their own scenes. 

. Class continues prepping:  Every scene has a beginning, middle and end. How do we find that? 

.  Judith introduces the topic of: Auditioning Today - It's different now!  (Zoom, EcoCast, etc.)

CLASS 2:  

.  Actors do their particular scenes with a Reader or Judith. You may do a monologue if you prefer.

.  Judith gives feedback, (Judith is fun, funny, a teeny bit tough, :), challenging, and always supportive!  

.  After feedback, the actors do their scene again.  Differently.

CLASS 3: 

.  More Scene Study (invaluable experience and gives our students confidence) - actors see and feel themselves transform.

. Judith teaches specifics on What is Happening NOW in our Industry: Auditioning for different Platforms:  Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc. 

.  Judith touches on:  Reps, Reels and More, Self Taping essentials, Looking through the Lens of the DP: How the Camera sees the Actor.

.  Judith gives actors her 4 page Bible by Judy Bouley!   

Based in Los Angeles, Judy Bouley specializes in casting on location. She's cast in Bulgaria, Morocco, India, Buenos Aires, Kyrsgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Baja, Puerto Rico and the United States for acclaimed directors, including: Peter Weir, Adam McKay, Robert Zemeckis, Alan Parker and Sam Mendes.

Born in the US, Judy spent her childhood in Japan. Her love of people, cultures and language combined with her passion for film make Judy's career as a casting director part of her DNA. Among her teachers, Judy is grateful for: His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, Father Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, and...everyone she has ever worked with.

For Class 1 please prepare a scene or monologue from the selection of material Judy has provided.  Upon registration, we will send you the link to the material.
