Description
BRAND NEW CLASS! Don't miss this Online 2-Week TV & Film Intensive with Casting Professional Maura Garnett! Open to actors ages 16+, this live Zoom class is designed to provide a valuable educational experience for those looking to sharpen their on-camera skills. Participants will take part in a live scene study with direct feedback from Maura, along with a Q&A to get answers to your career and industry questions. You'll be able to a download a recording of your performance to be able to review and grow in your acting, You will also have the option to share your headshot, resume, and reel for Maura to review.
Maura Garnett is a New York City-based Casting Director whose work spans television, film, commercial, and theatre. She is currently freelancing with Palladino Casting, focusing on commercials and real people casting. Recently, she wrapped work with Nancy Mosser Casting on a Disney/Hulu/Fox pilot and a series of national commercials.
She spent ten months with Emmy-nominated Casting Director Ross Meyerson on Dexter: Resurrection (Paramount), where she worked on casting Peter Dinklage, Uma Thurman, Neil Patrick Harris, and others. Previously, she contributed to The Terror (AMC) Season 3, assisting Emmy-nominated Casting Director Mark Saks.
Maura has trained under industry leaders such as Avy Kaufman and Stephanie Klapper and continues to develop her expertise through mentorships with Bess Fifer and Jason Styres. In addition to her television work, she casts independent films, bringing a sharp eye for talent, deep industry insight, and a passion for bold, character-driven stories to every project. She is a proud member of New York Women in Film & Television and Teamsters Local 817.

Prep Instructions:
Please prepare a 2-page TV/Film scene. Upon registration, we will send you a link to our scene database that you are welcome to browse.
Please note: If you have a Gmail account, our emails sometimes end up in the "Promotions" or "Spam" folders. Once you register for a class, you should receive your registration confirmation email within 24 hours or one business day. If you do not see an email from us, please check these folders. You can also remedy this by dragging our email from "Promotions" to your main inbox- then it should not happen again. Additionally, you can add our email, info@actingandvoicestudios.com, to your contact list, and our emails should come through.
PLEASE NOTE: We don't offer refunds under any circumstances but offer full credit that you can apply toward another class if you cancel your class 24 hours or more prior to the class. We won't provide credit after the class has already begun. Please read our Studio Policy for more information.
