4-Week In-Person/Zoom Beginner Scene Study Intensive with Top NYC Acting Coach Marcel Simoneau!

Learn the fundamentals. Break down the scene. Build your acting technique.

Whether you're brand new to acting or looking to strengthen your foundation, this 4-Week Beginner Scene Study Intensive with Marcel Simoneau will give you the fundamental tools you need to approach a scene with confidence.

Over four weeks, Marcel will guide actors through the process of breaking down a script, understanding a character, making strong choices, connecting with a scene partner, and bringing a scene to life.

Drawing from principles of Method Acting and the Meisner Technique, this intensive focuses on building a strong acting foundation while giving students the opportunity to apply what they're learning directly to scene work.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:

SCENE BREAKDOWN & SCRIPT ANALYSIS
Learn how to approach a new script and identify the given circumstances, relationships, objectives, stakes, beats, and important shifts within a scene.

ACTING FUNDAMENTALS

METHOD ACTING
Explore techniques that can help you connect personally and emotionally to the circumstances of a scene and create more grounded, truthful performances.

MEISNER TECHNIQUE
Strengthen your ability to listen, respond truthfully, stay present, and allow your scene partner to affect you rather than planning every moment.

SCENE STUDY
Put the fundamentals into practice by working on scenes throughout the intensive and receiving personalized coaching and adjustments from Marcel.
