Matt Smith has been working in the voiceover industry for almost two decades (even though he looks too young to say that and please just agree with him if you take his class). After graduating from Emerson College, he worked as an assistant at Maura Tighe Casting in Boston for two years before moving to NYC to take a job at Paradigm Talent Agency. Matt worked as an assistant in Paradigm’s commercial voiceover department and, with a lot of hard work and minimal All About Eve-ing, was promoted to VO agent after two short years.  He worked as an agent at Paradigm for nine years, during which time he handled Paradigm’s in-house commercial auditions (so he’s spent a lot of time in the ol’ VO booth directing actors), while also working with various casting directors and producers. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Paradigm laid off its entire commercial/VO department in 2020, but Matt’s VO adventure didn’t end there! Without missing a beat, Matt and two of his Paradigm VO colleagues landed at KMR, where they stayed until March 2024. At that time, the one and only DPN brought them onboard to start their East Coast office, which is where Matt is currently working (and loving it). He takes great pride in being a part of the voiceover industry (which is a business, but should also be FUN) and has many years of insight. Plus, he’s a hoot and a half. Matt’s current client bookings include Toyota, Goldfish, Old Navy, Tremfya, Subway, Nurtec ODT, Ace Hardware, AmEx/Delta, Invesco, and Charmin to name a few (sorry, that might be more like “a several”).
