BRAND NEW CLASS! Don't miss this Online TV & Film Masterclass with Top Casting Director Maribeth Fox! Open to actors ages 16+, this live Zoom class is designed to provide a valuable educational experience for those looking to sharpen their on-camera skills. Participants will take part in a live scene study with direct feedback from Brenden, along with a Q&A to get answers to your career and industry questions. You'll be able to a download a recording of your performance, for educational purposes only, to be able to review and grow in your acting. You can also share your headshot, resume, and acting reel(s) with Brenden for feedback and instruction only. All materials will remain under the studio’s control and will not be used for casting, employment, or representation purposes.
Maribeth Fox recently open her own casting operation after 16 amazing years with Laura Rosenthal. She has worked alongside major talents like Todd Haynes, Joachim Trier, Paolo Sorrentino, Emma Seligman and Rachel Sennot, Kelly Reichardt, Ed Burns and Lisa Cholodenko.
Maribeth is known for putting together exciting and vibrant casts with a balance of proven talent and new faces that all gather at the same dinner party. The New Yorjer said about Bottoms, 'the real hero of the movie is Maribeth Fox, because she provides Seligman with a generation-defining set of new stars.' Maribeth Fox's parents don't understand what she does for a living, but they are proud of that quote.
Her casts ,ade audience feel terrified and uncomfortable- A Quiet Place, Smile 2, Joy and Levity- Bottoms, The Machine, Murder Mystery II, Late Night, Brittany Runs A Marathon, with an overall focus on raising underrepresented voices, specifically within the disabled community- A different Man for A24 and Wonderstruck.
She received the 2024 Media Access Award for inclusivity in casting. It aired on PBS, which made Maribeth Fox's parents very proud, although they remain in the dark about her profession.
Her work can be seen in the upcoming Nim Rods with Live Nation and Green Day, and Zero Protocal, another thriller from the team at Imaginarium with Rebecca Hall and Marcia Gay Harden. She has a deep love for actors and telling good stories.
